John, I think the car with conductor's window is just a variation of the dome chair car where luggage racks at one end were replaced with a small office w/window.  It doesn't have the lounge area that the buffet dome lounge car has.  Just all regular seating.

Truly one of the great classics. I got to ride a remnant of it in 1980 when the DRGW still ran the Rio Grande Zephyr between Salt Lake City and Denver, because they had elected not to join Amtrak.
