Recently I became enamored with the EBT but was disappointed with the Bachmann set as I am more accustomed to metal engines from my O/Standard gauge trains. That and I wanted to do an excursion consist not freight.
I came across an NOS Bachmann On30 lettered metal engine and figured that I would lift off the decal and reletter the tender. Only to find to my chagrin that the tender lettering is painted on. Lifting decals is one thing, removing painted lettering gives me pause as I am inexperienced with such things.
Does anyone have experience removing painted lettering from a tender? I believe this tender is plastic.
Techniques and materials advice requested.
