B&M Line through Manchester NH?

I noticed this line had CTC signals. What happened? Its now nothing more than a low volume branch line? Did B&M really run that much traffic and none of the line survived through this day with any decent amount of volume?

Industries left, lumber gone, not much left in NH when it comes to Freight on rails only tourist outfits have kept the track in some areas from being forgotten entirely.
