Can anyone give me a manufacturer name and number for a very high quality set of B&O passenger car? They must have see thru windows with people. Thanks.

The only CORRECT ones (21" long) that I remember were done by Golden Gate Depot. I think you will have a VERY hard time finding ANY for sale now. K-Line made some beautiful 21" scale length, extruded aluminum, passenger cars, but those were all streamlined style.
Lionel has a set of heavyweight passenger cars out with detailed interiors people, you can probably search the Lionel Product Finder to locate them... you don't see them for sale all that often. I have the NYC Pullman and the C&O sets in Pullman Green, they are exceptional cars...
I have a 6 car 15" k-line heavyweight set if you are interested.
Track down Dan Pantera, first class at a reasonable price.
John
Your kidding! Dan is VERY expensive, only makes 2-Rail SCALE passenger cars, and generally takes a few YEARS!!!!
If you are including 18" cars in your search, this MTH Premier set might please you:

I have the set, and I really like it. It has interiors and figures and an abundance of detail.
Not sure how many there are available out there, however.
I have a real nice set of K-Line B&O 18 inch Heavyweight cars that came with interiors, people, lit drum head, and lit rear marker lights.
TrainHead----I have a NIB set of Lionel B&O heavyweights. I will sell if offered a good price. Odd-d
Craig, Did you obtain the whole set with the handsome blue steamer as well?
Don't know if I've ever seen the locomotive anywhere....
Sam
I purchased my set that Craig linked right from the K-line booth at York before their demise. Yes it came with the engine and cars.

C. Sam,
Yes, the loco and cars were a K-Line Fall Fair Days set.
Very handsome set, still running it on my layout.
I bought the 5 cars and loco with TMCC and Cruise in barely run condition for $450 from the auction of a club member who passed away.

it would help to know what year you are talking about. i'm gathering information on the 1929 Capitol and National Limited trains. in this year, the entire consist was still in green livery and except for head end RPO & baggage cars and the B&O dining cars, the majority of the train was Pullman (lettered) sleepers.
I have a complete set of lionel B&O passenger cars...would consider selling them..they are new...used only a few times... Bob..Boston metro hi railers club
Listen I am not a Lionel fan but clearly the Lionel line (including the McKeesport car) beats MTH on this.
Any of you who responded with "For Sale" cars....will you be at York?
TrainHead,
You may want to stop at the Sunset/3rd Rail and Golden Gate display in the Orange Hall and we can show you samples of some scale length heavyweight coaches that will be available in B&O later this year.

I finally saw one of the blue B&O Pacifics in Vince's Trains large booth at York last week. A very nice locomotive...
