I have Barry's Book and an instructional video from OGR.
Has anyone had any problems upgrading these which are peculiar to this model?
Thanks

If this is your first PS-2 upgrade just go slow and follow the instructions.
You should not have any big difficulties.
Expect it to take 8-10 hours.

thanks for the reply. This is #3. The first one was an old Lionel Allegheny, which quite frankly wasn't very smart. There were way too many twists and turns.
i was trying to check with the experts to see if there were any problems associated particularly with this upgrade
again- Thanks

I think every one of them typically presents a few wrinkles.
Ditto what John said.
My worst so far was an MTH cabforward.
By comparison a K-Line scale Hudson (non-MTH) was relatively easy. Go figure.
Let us know how it works out.

Gee Rod, I have the MTH Cab Forward that I upgraded to PS/2, turned out pretty nice. That one was easier than the little MTH General, a lot of wrinkles with that one!

John you must be more dextrous than I am!

It depends on what you plan on doing with the upgrade. I normally end up adding detailing like cab lights, markers, etc. that runs up the score. Most of the steamers I've done seem to require some surgery to fit the tether in, that runs into a little time to do it right. Diesels are the easiest, they normally go pretty quickly.
I upgraded my PS1 Big Boy about a year ago. As I recall, I spent extra time performing wire management on the articulated end of the engine due to headlight position, etc... Paranoia over pinched wires and shorts is a good thing!
I did the PS-1 Big Boy for Captain John and everything went smooth.
Thanks for the reply Marty,
