I recently picked up a book on railroad wrecking cranes at a train show.  It is titled Big Hooks and was written by Louis Marre.  It contains many photos of wreckers of all sizes and the support equipment that accompanied them.  This is a valuable source of information for anyone modeling a wreck train.  Not much verbage, but quite a few pictures.  This is not a historical documentation of this equipment, but, a sampling of the equipment that various railroads used.

Chris,

There are several photos of UP cranes, however, the only one from Ogden was taken in 1982.  It is a Industrial Works 120 ton unit with a Vanderbilt fuel tender.  It appears to be all silver in color.  It indicates that this unit is preserved.
