Well, not exactly "making" them, they're assembling them.
Prusa Research stated in a press release that their American counterparts will be assembling Prusa MK4s
It's a step in the right direction, but I wouldn't confuse final assembly with manufacturing.
I like prusa filament but yes prices was always an isue and unless you caught a deal and free shipping it was not worth it. I am glad they will be making it here. I hope parts come down in price here as well/
Got an announcement from Prusa that they are beginning to manufacture and provide service, repairs and parts in the US. They further state that their goal is to be the biggest manufacturer of 3D printers in the US within a year. I have one of their filament models from a few years ago and like it.

Well, if they make their filament here that would be great, no more international shipping! Their filament is top notch. Its all I use.
