Thanks, Mark and Bob. Hopefully, that’s been corrected.
Now I see the sharp car, Mark. What does CLRC stand for?

Mark -good question! CLRC = Chicagoland Railroad Club. Besides Nassau Lionel Operating Engineers, (NLOE), I believe they’ve produced the most club cars, with St. Louis Lionel Railroad Club, NJHR, and Milwaukee Lionel RR Club not far behind. Trying to keep up with these clubs, plus TCA, METCA, NETCA, LCCA, TTOS, and LOTS, is a full time job!

Thank you, Mark! That makes good sense. I have this train based on the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad that was commissioned by the Community Model Railroad club - Frostburg, Maryland. They only put their name on the car named "Frostburg". There is one express boxcar on this train, so I think it still fits in this thread.
I added LED lighting, but haven't acquired passengers yet.
Nice cars, everyone,
Just a couple cars I did last week…
A Weaver car, an unusual double door car. I have trouble finding this type car, not many out there to repaint…
And a MTH 19th Century car, I detailed and repainted…
The Wharton and Northern was a old subsidiary of the CRR of NJ in northern NJ.

I rarely run trains on the O-36 inner loop of my 12’-by-8’ layout but I always leave a New Haven train with four steel boxcars, a diesel locomotive, and a caboose parked there. In the videos, the boxcars are New Haven #31709 (MTH) built 1944, NH #45097 (MTH) built 1953, NH #22114 (MTH) built 1948, and NH Express Service #36000 (K-Line) built 1941.
The current locomotive is New Haven Railroad Alco S-2 diesel switcher #0615 (MTH Premier 20-20587-1) and the caboose is C-681 (Atlas O).

Thanks for starting us off Dave! Very good looking cars everyone! Today I'm showing my Western Pacific boxcar by Weaver. I applied a coat of Dullcote to take down the sheen. As I model Maryland railroads of the Transition Era, the cars that dominate my rails are northeastern railroads. When I was a kid growing up near the B&O mainline, I would often see freight cars ( especially boxcars ) from western and northwestern U.S. roads such as. Atchison Topeka and Santa Fe, Union Pacific, Southern Pacific, Northern Pacific, Great Northern, and of course Western Pacific. I felt it important to have a modest representation of these roads in my collection.
Well my offering today is a Lionel (LTI) "waffle sided" boxcar for the Seaboard RR. This car, #15001, is from the end of the LTI era, being offered in 1995.
Happy BXCar Sunday everyone!

@Mark Boyce, the pictures you’ve submitted today are awesome and your layout background pictures really blend together an gives a great distance effect. You’ve come a long way, Wow. @Dave Ripp, this is a super great topic and theses a lot of beautiful box cars on our rails… Happy Railroading Everyone
A little late to the party, but here's a shot of the oldest boxcar on my layout. It's a Union Pacific double door from Lionel's Union Pacific Fallen Flags set, 1983. I didn't have the set, but obtained the car separately for a display shelf when I was living in Hawaii back in 2005.
My quickie contribution for this week…
Four of five boxcars I finished this week. Three MTH and one Weaver car in the mix. The fifth car went to a client and they may reveal it next week…

My boxcars for this Sunday in the middle of Memorial Day weekend.
Reading Locomotive Shops class B-4A 0-6-0T steam switcher #1251 – model by Lionel – has been pulling two boxcars on my 10’-by-5’ layout – each with a hobo hitching a ride. Spokane Portland and Seattle #11091, model by K-Line, was built in 1945. Pennsylvania #19247, model by MTH, was built in 1959. The hobos are from Arttista.

Well here is one I just received from a successful auction bid (yes it was inexpensive) but I couldn't resist it because of the obvious picture of a Lionel 210 Alco FA "Texas Special" from 1958 and the fact that it is about a store in Dallas. "Collectible Trains and Toys" is the name of a specialty store in Dallas, Texas which still operates today. This boxcar by Kline commemorates their 10th anniversary in 1991 so that makes some 43 years this store has been operating and handling trains and toys.
Happy Memorial Day weekend everyone. Best Wishes
Don
Here's one I did a while back:
Weaver PS-1 stripped and repainted with Tamiya TS-5 and K4 decals. US Army pre 7/42 Transportation Corps formation.
Cheers,
Price
I don't have anything really appropriate for Memorial Day observance, but I do have this. Let's not forget all those from all services that died to protect our freedom.
Lionel
An 027 plug door in honor of the fallen this Memorial Day:
While this car references our National Guard, the message applies to all who have given their lives in the defense and furtherance of the causes of freedom and democracy everywhere.
Here’s a Railking former sleeper MTHRRC boxcar, awoken with a kiss from Tom (Krieglok), and turned from scullery maid into a beauty. Terrific work, Tom. Thanks again!
Here’s a stripped and repainted Weaver PS-1 done up for the US Navy. Tamiya TS-81 Royal Light Gray with a hodge podge of Tichy and K4 decals.
Cheers,
Price
Photos and video show Chesapeake & Ohio GP38-2 #3899 (MTH 20-2186-1) pulling two boxcars on my 10’-by-5’ layout – Pennsylvania #19247 (MTH) and Central Railroad of New Jersey #22485 (Weaver). The #6132151 caboose is by K-Line.

Here are my boxcars for this fine Sunday! I'm showing several Western Maryland boxcars in 3 different lettering schemes/logos. All of the photos were taken yesterday afternoon in the same location on my layout.
This is a Weaver boxcar with "speed lettering".
This one is a MTH Premier boxcar with " speed lettering". Note this lettering is much more crisp than the Weaver boxcar IMHO.
Here we have a MTH Premier boxcar with the circular logo.
The boxcar on the left is a MTH Premier with the Fireball logo. The boxcar on the right is the Weaver shown in the top photograph.
We have talked about Lionel's little 0-27 boxcars before, most of them going to special sets for particular commercial customers. Here are two that were sponsored by "True-Value" Hardware stores in the 1970's. Both uncatalogued, the #9053 green from 1977 and the # 9046 white from 1976. Except for the color and the number, these two cars are exactly the same. Likely added to a starter type train set that Lionel sold through True-Value at Holiday time.
Happy Box Car Sunday everyone

Is it only me, or are GG1GUYY’s pictures not showing?
