Need to put up a couple of bumpers for our point-to-point trolley track on the Holiday layout. I may have some old MPC era ones that worked on the tubular track that I might be able to find but wanted to see if anyone has suggestions about other items that I could rig up that might make for a substitute bumper.

How about building a bumper from pieces of wood or other scraps? Make a flat face and glue it or nail it to the track or the table.
In another topic John Allen suggested putting a 260 Bumper on the tubular part of a FasTrack transition piece. That would work, too.
Reading Fan....thanks for the suggestion. There's a good chance the bumpers will be hidden and I can get away with a quick fix.
I just saw the other thread too with some good ideas.
If you were to cut the center rail near one end, then connect the cut section to the main section center rail with a pushbutton, visitors could trigger an out and back run.

If the bumpers are going to be hidden just drive a nail or screw part-way into the base at the end of the track.
When I was a kid (a younger kid), I just screwed a block of wood to the table, at the end of the track, and stained it a dark color.
