Burlington Zephyr Car on the move

Hi All,

Just wanted to let anyone know that is interested in the CB&Q, that the dome observation car, Silver View, is on the move. It supposedly left Gateway Rail Yard last Friday and was being transferred out to the UP mainline. UP will drag it up to Chicago Proviso, where it will be transferred over to the CP. The CP will then take it into Iowa and then to Charles City, IA, its finally destination. Once the car is in Charles City, restoration will begin on the car to bring back to life and back into passenger rail service. This car was originally from the Twin City Zephyr and went from Chicago to Minneapolis/St. Paul daily, since 1947.
