It's a little beat up, but the Cadbury's vans are usually outrageously expensive, so I thought I was lucky to get this one relatively cheap.    It goes with the Fyffes Banana van I found last year.  These are just classic Hornby wagons, I'm pretty excited.

WOW!!!  That's a LOT of bridge.  Dimensions?

Thanks for sharing.

The bridge is 84" (7') long and double tracked.  I pitched the idea (along with dimensions and lots of prototype photos) to East Coast Enterprises and they turned it into reality.  Here's the prototype:

Got this Dorfan 110 boxed clockwork set in the mail today. The engine is typical Dorfan, Zinc rot has destroyed the shell, but as you see in the second photo, I had a good engine just waiting for the correct mix to go with it.

The lot also came with a couple of extra 355 coaches, but I'm pretty sure the set only came with one.

Bought this bad boy last week off the bay, got a good price but the pantographs were broken. Seems the previous owner raised them manually and broke the a cutting levers off. I fixed it by extending the levers with a brass tube. Also seems that one hot bent weird in the process, if it bugs me enough I'll order a new one

Just got a Williams Canadian Pacific F3 AA set complete with 4 aluminum passenger cars.  It came in the mail on Monday from a forum member.  That is a great looking set!  When I put it on my test track (a standard fast track loop) that thing took off with the smallest amount of power; what a puller!  This is my first Williams set, definitely won't be my last!

This is only cool for you if you traveled in west TX, and saw this line in action before the demise of the ICC.  If you do research on this line, don't look to Wikipedia because their info is full of errors.

This line existed until the Staggers Act, and then its redundancy caused it to be torn up.

Atlas makes this car in its Steam Era Classics line in, at least, two road numbers...for sentimental reasons, I had to buy both.

Back in the day while traveling east on US 84 between Snyder and Roscoe, TX, you had Panhandle & Santa Fe on your left and RS&P on your right.  On the "best day ever" you could see trains on both lines during that 40+ mile stretch.

Well, I got carried away again with my checkbook..  Suzie and I went to visit our friendly Lionel dealer & collector.  Beautiful day for a car ride!  Picked up my repaired and renovated "KW" transformer. Gave him my old "Z" transformer for same treatment. Told him to take his time with it.  He says he hates working on "Z"-transformers.  Hates trying to take them apart.  So we'll see what happens.  I owed him about $ 400.00 for some stuff.  This I planned for, but it didn't stop there!

Suzie wanted the "pumpkin-head" dudes on the handcar..  She wanted a streetcar-Christmas type..  She wanted a Santa Fe caboose.  I bought the new # 262 crossing gate with die-cast base.  It's a beauty and the lights operate like a real one...

Then came the # 300 Hell Gate Bridge-- Suzie wanted me to get it.  Then I spied a Lionel SP Warhorse Coal Set..  It was then I thought we should stop!

Haven't started the new layout as yet in the Living Room she "leased" to me!  Coming soon.  Been buying supplies and making plans and getting great ideas from my buddies on OGR...  I hope to get the furniture out of the house this coming week that we decided to dispose of so I can get started.  Will keep you all posted!

I was going to take photos at my friends house-- both the film and digital cameras had dead batteries.  Ridiculous!!  You should see his overall collection! In its own train room of 24 x 48 feet !  A huge layout in the center using K-Line Shadow track. Boxes and trains and piece-parts everywhere you look.  Everywhere !!!  BIG engines and small!  Complete SETS on display in MTH, Lionel, and Flyer.  Milwaukee Bi-Polars,

GN Y-1 heavy electric loco # 5018, New Haven heavy electrics, SP AC-12, SP AC-9,

UP Big-Boy, UP 844, UP 9000 and "dozens" more.  I about passed out when I first saw this stuff last November..  Today was our second visit.  He really likes us!!  Maybe that's a good thing.  The overall value of the collection is INCREDIBLE..  There is probably EVERYTHING in that room that was "EVER" made in history to run on 3-rail or 2-rail track and I am "NOT" exaggerating one bit, fellows!  You'd go NUTS just trying to take it all in !  Tons of various Accessories as well !

Anyway, here is a pictorial sample of what I blew my coins on...

Photos not posting right now.  Will have to Edit and try later!

Cheers.

Don't feel too bad.  The Lionel Gingerbread Gateman missed two Christmases before he finally showed up!

A couple of weeks ago I was in an indoor flea market/junk store and bought an almost new K Line freight set at a decent price. Only thing in the store I saw worth buying. I don't think it was hardly ever run. When I got home I saw the boogered up rear coupler but fixed that in a minute. Nice starter set based on Marx diesel engine and cars. Didn't need it, really doesn't fit too well with what I have but had to buy something. It might be donated to someone or the engine might be a power unit for an RDC or something.
