Got my Base3. Disconnected my Legacy Base that (992) worked great with all aspects of layout control. Disconnected my LCS wifi module of course.  Installed the new Base3, configured it to connect to my home network, just like the wifi module was.  Channel left to default of 1 which I have always used. All good so far. Cab3 installed on iPad, two iPhones. Connected to the Base3 OK.

Bluetooth Lionchief locos can be added and controlled from Cab3 OK. TMCC loco can be controlled by Cab3 by simply entering the Eng number previously assigned to the loco. Good to go.

Here is the issue: I have always used TR 1 to control one Legacy Powermaster and TR2 to control a second Legacy Powermaster. They have always been set to Conventional so I can control track voltage from the remote. (and have a Kill button on the Cab 1L and 991 remotes!)

Problem: Selecting TR 1 or TR 2 on Cab3 doesn't do anything. Moving the throttle slide doesn't result in colorful tail swoop on remote nor any action on the green communication Base3 light. The Powermasters don't respond to change track voltage and the kill switch does nothing.

Meanwhile, the Cab1L and 991 remotes all will work the TR 1 and TR 2 to control the Powermasters.

Is there some sort of programing on the Cab3 needed to tell it what TR 1 and TR 2 should do? I can't find info on how to connect the Cab3 to control Powermasters.  Thanks.

Same problem.

Three blue PowerMasters, TR1, TR2, TR3. Works with Cab1L/Base1L, and Cab1/Base1.

Today I learned that blue PowerMasters disconnect power to the track if they loose the TMCC track signal.  Each one is in Command. I could try in conventional if anybody cares.

I unplugged the Base1, set up the Base 3, start communicating with Base 3, and can't get TR1 etc on, so I thought I could power up with the old stuff and then unplug the Base1 and plug in the Base3 to try some ENG commands. No dice.

Back to Cab1, only because I have two of those and only one Cab1L.

Temporary power master control solution through cab3:

I have a blue legacy power master and I managed to get this to work with cab3.  Address the power master through tr button in the cab3 app.  Make sure the power master is switched to “conv”.  Hit number “9“ to get full power to track and hit “0” to turn off the power.  I don’t know why this works, but it does.  Let Me know if there are any questions.
