When I flew into Minneapolis airport I had to go from one terminal to other. Rode on a tram pulled by cables. The single track system had a switch in the approximate center to allow the oncoming tram to take the passing siding. The cables ran through parts of the points. Because I was pressed for time I could not get a good close look at how things were done, how the cars changed cables at the siding or if the same cable stayed with the car, else time permitting, I would have riddedn it back and forth several times just to see how all this was done.
So cable systems aren't quite all dead. Anyone have more info, when installed, speed, controls etc?
