I've got a Williams 4-6-0 that doesn't smoke as well as it did when it was new, but it still smokes. As the title states, is there a way to clean it to return it to it's "new" smoke output? The engine is probably 3 or 4 years old now, is run quite a bit, and have used both Williams fluid and Jt's in it.

Good question, but are you sure it need cleaning and there's not something else going in?
From experience, you just replace them. No way to clean them or tune them up that I am aware of.

I unclogged the Suethe in my Lionel Burning Switch tower with Megasteam's Eliminator. I don't know if it was luck or how it worked, but it did.
I have had some luck spraying dust off or similar products down the center tube. If you think you have a lot of fluid in the unit , put a rag around the canned air nozzle to keep the fluid from going everywhere. Been using the same unit for years and years in my tinplate power station
if they are like the smoke units in smoking cabooses, they come apart and have batting and a resistor that can be serviced just like any other unit. I have done many. not sure if the williams units are the same.
