This year has been kind of choppy for me in regards to building my layout. I start, stop, start, mostly due to work. When I start again, the layoff isn't necessarily that long, but I need to get my train of thought back to what I was doing. When I'm building, I have such a clear plan for the sequence of what I want to do, but when I go back, I have to recall that focus. Man, I can't wait to retire, and spend more time working on my layout! Does this happen to anyone else?

Andy,

What you are experiencing is not unique, prior to retiring my job responsibilities were not restricted to 10 hours a day Monday through Friday. It reached a point that you could not leave work at work but took it home with you. Couple this with the typical responsibilities in home maintenance and repairs I had limited time to work on the construction of my layout.
