If anything from the Vol. 2 catalog has been cancelled at this point, I think only Lionel's main dealers will know. I can't recall anything from that catalog, as opposed to the one before, being reported as cancelled on this forum.

Anyway it really depends on what you are looking for. Lionel's shipping schedule usually deletes cancelled items if they have earlier been given an expected shipping date although it is not totally reliable in that respect. More reliable is the Charles Ro website which is usually up to date about when they expect a particular product to be shipped to them. (You need to click on the product description to see an "Expected Availability" date.) At the moment this lists one product I have ordered that for some reason is not in the shipping schedule so I assume it's not cancelled.

I had assumed the grafitti Genset model featured a fantasy scheme that had been dreamed up by Lionel until I viewed Randy Traque's video of Union Pacific in California that includes three (3) units which are covered with this illegal work of art.  It's no wonder U.P. nixed the project.

This brings up a question: How many modelers include NO TRESPASSING signs on your layout to prevent the miniature people from doing just this?  Do you model a scene that includes the railroad police apprehending a trespassor who are shown holding the suspect until the city police can arrive to pick him up and haul him away to jail?  Of course the police vehicle can be seen with working flashing warning lights on top of the roof to make the scene look that much more authentic.

If you do then show your stuff by all means!
