I heard the CMRR was closing down today. Didn't think it was true. What will happen to all of the equipment?

It is true 
. According to the Middletown NY Times herald-Record " the CMRR submitted a bid to have it's lease renewed , but as of Saturday had heard nothing from the county" (Ulster co.)
They apply for contracts a whole week ahead of time up there?
CMRR has an on going battle with the county. They have been down this road before and survived.
It's not clear to me what is going on.
Maybe I read this article too fast.
In one place, the article says they are looking for bids to operate the tourist line.
In another place the article says that they want to convert most of the route to a rail trail.
I guess they want to shrink the length of the right of way the tourist line could use?
Well according to their website, operations ended yesterday. Hopefully the equipment will find homes worthy of it.
