To help keep clutter down on posts with attachments you can check the "Collapse Attachment Box" and all the attachments will be hidden from the bottom of the post but you can still click on them within the post to have them open in a window. Also there is an option for the reader to "show" attchments if they wish. Depending on the post the box maybe to the right of the post you are creating or below it.
