My soon to be 2 yr old neice is having a birthday very soon. When I asked her what she wanted she told me," CHUGGINGTON". After doing some research I found that Chuggington is an animated series on the disney channel in the same spirit as Thomas the tank. As I was browsing the internet for Chuggington related merchandise, I got to thinking wouldnt it be great for her to play with the CHuggington on her 3 rail layout. Yes she already has one with a lionel girls set restored, thanks to her Uncle. Has any of the manufacturers thought about making this series in 3 rail? It would be a great way to continue growing the hobby!!

I do not think anyone makes a 3 rail Chuggington.
It always bothered me that the show is named Chuggington as if they chug like steamers but they are all diesels!
i have only watched it once i do believe there is one steamer cant recall name. IMO i think it would be a great idea for someone to get on this bandwagon.
MY 20 month old loves Chugginton. Most are diesels, the only steamers are Old Puffer Pete, Olwin, Speedy McAllister, and Piper.
Just from what I've seen, Chuggington can't hold a candle to Thomas. Thomas' story-lines are so much more sophisticated. The characters more believable.
Nice attempt, but no cigar.
Check out the show cartoons. There is a character in them named Wilson - an EMD F3 - who is maybe the most popular loco in the show. It would not be too hard to repaint an F3 (Wilson looks to have two, two-axle trucks, at least in the shows I saw) in his livery. Alternately, kids seem to love RMT locos, and a BEEF would be perfect, to be Wilson. Just repaint a bit and paint the "eyes" on the windshield, eyebrows, and smile, etc.. I've considered doing that for my grandkids, even doing a little "body work" to add lips around the friendly, willing smile Wilson has, etc. - except, they are into Thomas, not Chuggington.
On chugging to the couplers look just like the oversized O-Gauge ones.
Toy stores do have a line of Chuggington toys/tracks/cars they sell but as mentioned nothing for your train tracks.
