I agree, this was a terrific issue.
Didn't realize issue had been shipped yet. Waiting for mine to arrive. Know that delivery date varies by week or two dependent on area of country it's mailed to. Eagerly looking forward to receiving it.
Good topic Alex. I also was very impressed with the issue and learned of some super ideas for my layout. Thank you OGR for once again putting great material into your publication.
Would love to see Eliot's layout, will have to get this issue.
Thanks
I looked at it online but haven't received the printed copy yet.
Thank you Alex. Allan made getting my article and photos published easy. The whole experience was fun. Thanks again.
Well I spoke to soon. Just got my copy in the mail.
Congrats to all. The recent issues of the train mags seem to be a Who's Who of OGR Forum members!

As soon as I leafed through the issue, I knew I wanted to express how great this issue looks. I knew someone would beat me to it on the Forum I agree with all everyone said.
Just received mine, briefed through the pages, and I agree with Alex 100% - a definite winner issue of OGR. Now to read in in detail . . .
Alex
Absolutely!

This has been a very good month for forum members layouts. First Steve Nelson's great layout and now Eliot Scher's. It is so nice to see the current emphasis on scale or hi-rail layouts. I have nothing against tinplate layouts at all, but love to see the scenery and attention to details on these great layouts.

Very good !!!

Agreed! But that is Steve's OLD layout in the pages of our worthy competitor.
I am hoping we can convince him to favor us with an article on his current layout. It is a stunner...and maybe we could even do a video? Hmm...
Job well done. OGR is the pulse of the hobby.
It is a great issue, I'm in Australia and already have my hard copy, the on-line version has some wonderful bonus pics. Well done everyone involved.
Just got mine today and will be reading it later tonight!

Rich - I have seen a few glimpses of his new layout and the bridges alone are fantastic. I second the motion on getting him in OGR sooner rather than later.

Great articles!
On a side note, I couldn't get over the "uncanny " resemblance Eliot has to the 1:48 figure on the far right of the cover photo. Of course.... those trains are still on the tracks.
