This is all Dan65train provided me "Coupler types...Hook/slot, Latch, Box, prewar. Postwar Knuckle and Scout."  Hope this helps.  I am trying to get a standardized list put into my software tracker for all of my loco's and rolling stock.

There were two styles of postwar knuckle.  Electromagnetic with a sliding shoe and the magnetic type with either a plate or thumbtack actuator.

K-lines "Complete Service Manual for Lionel Trains" has a complete section on post-war couplers lifted from the Lionel Service Manual.

CSXJOE, I just happen to have that book.  I guess it would help if I open it ehhh.  LOL
