I visited CP headquarters to take a few shots of some of the displays around the campus.
Recently restored FP7 #1400 and #29 are on guard duty outside the CP Police building which was formerly the old powerhouse for Ogden Shops.
Nice to see the heritage preserved.

A CP 4-4-0 by MTH teamed up with their 64' Woodsided Passenger cars; I'm ready to buy.
Looks as the rods between the cylinders and the drivers is missing off the 29.
Great pics. Are the locals still fighting to have the maintenance shop silenced?
#29 was the most handsome of the trio of 4-4-0's that worked in New Brunswick until Spring 1960. Quite amazing to contemplate that 4-4-0's were among the last steam locomotives to work in regular service in the US and Canada ! They outlived all kinds of fancy 4-8-4's, Duplexes and steam turbines !
The shop area is a shadow of its former self now. Very little work going on at all.
I remember living a block away from the main entrance to the shops in 1981 and there were hundreds of workers employed there at that time(1000 plus?)It WAS very noisy then with traffic. Very quiet now a days
#29s main rods have been off since its recent move from the former HQ location in Downtown Calgary and are probably inside building 3 where 2816 is in storage.
I also stopped on the way home and snapped a few pics of 5931.
The Selkirk is looking a little worse for wear since it is exposed to the elements .
