Guys: I plan to run my layout on DCC since I have a couple DC engines that are going to be DCC equipped and I have all the DCC equipment and system. I have a couple of MTH PS2 steam engines that I want to convert to DCC but not lose the sounds they came with if possible. AFAIK they will not run on DCC so my choices are to Convert the engines to DCC by upgrading to a Proto Sound 3 board (DCC compatible board) or rip out all the electronics and put in Tsunami 2 TSU-4400 boards and use Soundtraxx sound which is excellent. I might lose some features of the MTH engines like smoke, lighting, sound. What are the pros and cons of upgrading to PS3 vrs TSU2? What have you done with your PS2 engines? Can I just add a DCC motor decoder to the PS2 engine and how do you do that so it will run on DCC, or should I rip out and put in TSU2 DCC?
