You need to exercise some caution when using this manual. It pertains to Loader Program 2.3, which is somewhat different from the current Loader Program 5.0 version.

I actually got there by googling "loading MTH chain files"
Are there any concerns with the contents of the updated link that now to points to the 5.0 and not the 2.3 Program version?

It is the latest, and there have been no announced revisions to 5.0.
