C.W.- Here is some background info I should have included in my first posting. I building my layout and am using a combination of new tubular track and some slightly used sections. All the pins look good, as in nice and shiny, and I thought about using the DeoxIT because I can't see into the female end of the rails and maybe it's use would minimize any voltage losses.

Caig makes chemicals designed to IMPROVE conductivity over a long period of time, rather than like DeOxit, which is really just a fancy one-time cleaner for removing non-conductive oxides. Look through the Caig product line. For track pins, I like DeOxit GOLD (confusingly, Caig recently renamed a lot of products and this is the one that used to be called ProGOLD).  Anyway, try GOLD on your track pins. I thnik you'll like it.
