Anyone try the Digitrax DH465 4 amp (6amp peak) decoder? I was thinking about installing it and the SFX 006 soundbug decoder on a MTH SD70ACE I have.
Anyone try this? Any advice?

I have Not tried this and I have not used that particular decoder. I have used other smaller Digitrax decoders.
Have you tried to find the current draw on the loco with a meter when you hold the wheels and stall it?
I typically use NCE D408SR decoders for my larger engines and have done similar type hookups with the soundbug and that decoder.
It should work fine.
Thanks for the reply prrjim. The only thing I anticipate is that using the included speaker will give pretty weak volume. I am hoping to re-use the ps2 speaker already in the engine to increase the volume output.
Thank you.
I think most DCC sound decoders use 8 ohm speakers. If the ones in there are that rating, it might just work well. It can't hurt to try them.
I am about to try a similar plan in my trolleys, but with the NCE and using the soundbug for sound. Placement of the speaker is the biggest headache for me as I detailed the interiors of most of my cars...
I've got this board as well but have not installed it yet. Free time seems to be the hardest thing to come by lately. I was going to put mine in an entry level steam engine or diesel.

As PRRJIM states above, most DCC sound decoders use 8 ohm speakers. At least some of the MTH ps2 installations use 4 ohm speakers (this info will be stamped on the back of the speaker). Using a 4 ohm speaker could blow the DCC sound board.
I would put in as large speakers as would fit and for which there are enclosures for(dramatically improves the sound). In my freight motors and combine I am putting in 28mm round speakers with round enclosures(baffles). I could conceivably use larger speakers, but I don't want to have to make the enclosures. High Bass speakers would be worth the while.
