I just received an Imperial Big Boy Item number 30-1686-1 today.   No matter what I try, I can't get it to run. My setup is a good sized loop of fastrak, a Z1000 transformer and a DCS Remote Commander.

When I first plugged the power in, it started up, but would not move.  I cycled power and now it doesn't do anything.  It does not respond to the Remote Commander at all.  My MTH ES44AC runs fine on this setup.  Does anyone have any suggestions?  I know I may need to bite the bullet and buy a TIU and remote.

Thanks

Stephen

It's most likely that the engine is not set to its factory defaults. If it was test run under DCS, either by MTH or the dealer, and then not Factory Reset afterwards, it simply will not respond to commands from the DCS Remote Commander.

If this is the case, you could first try to do a Factory Reset from the DCS Remote Commander by pressing the following button sequence on the handheld controller:

SND, DIR, -

If this doesn't work, you'll need to use a DCS Remote and TIU, or a DCS Commander, to do a DCS Factory Reset.
