Still experimenting with closeups and lighting.
Some were taken along Railroad Street in Roanoke (and just beyond downtown), and some were taken in the throat tracks of Norfolk Terminal.
Hope you enjoy these photos.

Will,
nice pictures and scenery.
You downtown is Roanoke, so you can miss the Texas Tavern!
Are you going to York?

Andre.
Wish I could go, but am going to Rail-Volution transit conference in Dallas/Fort Worth right after York and can't do both.
I just ordered your Woolworth store and am thinking about the Texas Tavern, too.
Thanks, Andre!
Will, I love the double span MTH bridge. Great look.
I like the Hennis truck. That goes way back.
Will,
These photos of your layout and scenery are awesome, There's so many fine details in your work. The corner curbs painted red looking great!!!!!
Thanks,
Alex
Outstanding layout! The time and effort required to string all the telephone wires is an amazing accomplishment in itself, not to mention all the other fine details. Joe

Thank you, Joe. Actually the E-Z Line wire is quick once you get the hang of placing a dab of CY on the insulator. George Lasley makes it look easy.

Thank you, Alex. I never tire of getting up close to a scene and just studying it. Often I see where an extra detail would enhance it further. Building the layout up high makes it much easier to enjoy it.
Thanks, Nick. Power lines are all E-Z Lines of various styles. If you have the patience to put them in (with transformers), they add a great deal of realism and dimension to scenes.

Bill, the Hennis truck is a favorite touch, especially with the XXL driver.

Thanks, Marty. I kept that bridge from my original layout and found a good place for it on the new one. George kitbashed it from two signal bridges, as you say.
