ENGINE NOT FOUND

Bought new Santa fe passenger starter set proto sounds 3 worked great first few weeks.

Now I am trying to run it on my christmas layout and it says engine not found.

Tryed to add engine. Not found
Tryed to recover engine Not found

My P R R 2-8-0 I added no problem and that's a year old works great with the DCS system. Im puzzeled.

I did use my rail my railing transformer to power the brick for DCS TIU system and in the instructions it did say not to use it to get a cable any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated
