A friend of mine alerted me to this video. It's of a layout replicating the northeast during the early years of Conrail. During this period, CR simply relettered and renumbered locomotives over the paint of the predecessor roads to keep them in service and several examples including a former Lehigh & Hudson River C420, Penn Central SD9 and Reading GP40-2 can be seen. Other items of interest are an NJDOT U34CH, MP54 MUs and Amtrak Geep in the "Pumpkin" scheme. The attention to detail is commendable. Incredibly, this railroad is located in Germany. North American railroading certainly has worldwide appeal.
Enjoy,
Bob
