It was almost one year ago that I made the fateful decision to tear down something very special. Railroaders can be a strange lot. Spend five years building something and sharing it with friends and then, one day, you have the vision to go in a new direction. Building the Munoz Lines became what I truly loved doing. The trains were fabulous and the friends were irreplaceable, but it was really all about enjoying the creation of our own world.

Please forgive the out of focus and shakey video. I was probably a bit emotional when I started climbing ladders and swinging the video camera two and fro. The result is a video that is a bit difficult to watch. I apologize for the poor quality of the video. It is, however, the first time I have displayed the entire railroad as one piece online. Videos two and three seem to be better and have wide angle shots of the trains in their entirety. The third video is my favorite because it concentrates on the final scenes we did of the Munoz Station area and Munoz itself. The shot of the Santa Fe Super Chief coming into the station will be the one I always remember. Hope you enjoy your visit to the Munoz Lines.

Just as every operating session brings its own "rewards," I laughed at the closing video segments as the Super Chief knocks over a baggage cart and handler.

Hope he is OK . . . . .

I always enjoyed your videos of the Munoz Lines, my favorite was the Legacy CC II in the roundhouse. Hopefully this being part 1 there will be a few more, looking forward to them.

I forgot you had a military train. don't know if you have any of your military vehicles left or if you sold them off but if you do still have them let me know when you are ready to sell. I am always looking for WWII tanks, trucks half tracks etc.

Good luck with the ON30 layout.

A lot of money, a lot of time, and a lot of fun. The sound of your voice, and the fact of your memorializing it all on video evidences it was totally worth it. I am happy for you, happy you received such satisfaction from your hobby.

Be well, safe, and happy, always, Eliot.

With friendship and respect,

FrankM.
