Well after several hours of thinking, hair pulling and working I finally achieved the look I was after. I am starting this new thread instead of lumping these pics at the bottom of the other thread.

Here is the overall area I have been working on...

These tie plates are painted with just a base color, more weathering with chalks and paints will follow.

One of the switches I have been working on.

Need to file the points smooth still after some minor grinding.
