@Trainmaster04- Really liked your "night" scenes, the lighting effect was great.  Especially on the locomotive in picture #3 from the top.  Super job! @Bill Swatos- neat new Trainmaster, she really looks good! @Strap Hanger - Like the subway photos, I wonder who got picked to put the graffiti on that platform lower wall, talk about brave! (or stupid).  @leapinlarry - super photos of your layout.

Here is a F.E.F. contrast in both time and size.  The American Flyer (Chicago Flyer) wide gauge 4644 locomotive from the 1930's and the #1211 O gauge locomotive from the 1920's.  One designed to resemble the NH box cab electric on the NY-New Haven run and the other to resemble the NYC "S" class locomotive for use in and around Grand Central station in NY.

Well I am headed back to Texas tomorrow at the end of my vacation trip with the grandson.  So I will be absent from the forum for a few days.  Hope to see everyone early next week.

Best Wishes

Don

Safe travels, Don. Stay cool; it's over 120 degrees here in Rancho Mirage CA!

Thanks Don. Love your tinplate photos as well . Have a safe trip back.

Yes it has TMCC with a great horn, vg smoke, and I had CCM added by Pat (harmonyards). Crew talk is the usual garbled junk. Great puller, good heft. Came out in 2008? in several road names. K-Line also made the RS3 in Circus Transport, Cotton Belt, Long Island, New York Central, Pennsylvania, Reading, Rock Island, and Southern Pacific. In another thread regarding this particular engine, a poster mentioned that Williams now has this tooling. If WBB has it, it’s history.

OK as a Marx enthusiast, here (going to school on Trumptrain) are a couple of hard working front ends parked at the Marx freight station waiting to load.

Marx trucks 1

Ready to take up her load, here is a American Flyer (Chicago Flyer) #3308 Type X locomotive from 1932-33.  P.S. at 90 years old which is just a short 12 years from now for me, I hope I still look this good and my light still works!!

Best wishes for a great weekend everyone.  Please be careful outside in this terrible heat!

I'm getting ready to host a big house party tomorrow, which will invariably result in a trip to the Train Room with my niece and nephew. Four Front Ends ready for service this Friday!

Front End #1 is my big MTH scale Hudson. A family favorite and a very reliable runner too.

MTH Prewar style Hudson

Front Ends #2 through #4 are a P5A Modified with working pantographs, my custom Lionchief WEMCO and an old favorite, my PCC streetcar.

P5A WEMCO and PCC

Testing it all out to make sure everything is good to go!

I always wanted one of the NYC RS3s
