Ron, From where did you get the correct shaped E7 pilots and there part number?  Depending on the out come of my up and coming diagnostic testing my want to get a set a machine them to fit. Ron

Ron, got it off the Lionel parts site.  I bought several styles and part #6801232751 matches photos of many PRR E7s and is the correct color.  It is PILOT/E-8/GREEN/ERIE.  I've got a black one for sale.

Also will work and is correct color but not a perfect match for the real pilot (although close to later model E7) is #6204585651, PILOT/FRONT/SCALE F-UNIT/PRR2.  I have two of these I need to sell.

Ron, great info thanks.

Well guys, I will admit that as President and COO of the Leonardtown and Savannah we have a operating problem in the lack of diesels.  This war, is making it really tough to move our steam power to the back and replace it with modern diesel power.  So tonight, again, steam takes over moving the evening commuters home from work.  Here is a view of mighty L&S Number 384E born in  the class of 1930 but still in tip top shape thanks to the experienced back shop guys,  getting ready to take over again as the diesels hoard the main.  Well at least she will give the residents of Small Town a show of noise, smoke, whistle, and power!!

Well here I am again posting to F.E.F on Thursday night.  Sorry but I have to teach tomorrow -"convert" all our classes to virtual on-line so I am on "TV" most of the day...not sure the students like my countenance that much, I told them I tried to get Paul Newman to do the class but he was busy

So anyway here is my F.E.F. posting about 12 hrs early...it is my new 1939 American Flyer 2-4-2 loco from 1939.

Here is a picture from way back when we visited the B&O Museum in Baltimore.  It is the American Freedom Train's T1 and it looked terrible back then.  Probably a lot worse now.  Great looking engine.

This was shot with a new at the time 110 camera and scanned with an flatbed scanner.  Need to go out to the museum again and take some better pictures.

Ted, that was a B&O excursion and my then-very-young memory tells me excursion crews were always quite friendly. The engine crew saw Dad taking pics and then noticed my [good looking ] Sis and motioned for her to climb up.

The B&O did excursions correctly. Look at the shiny freshly washed paint on that F unit.
