My front-end view for this Friday shows Brooklyn Eastern District Terminal #15, a Lionel LionChief Plus 2.0 (2032020) 0-6-0T, the smallest model steam engine in my collection. Lionel lists its length as 8.5 inches.

BEDT #15 ran on the O-36 inner loop of my 12’-by-8’ layout heading-up a short freight train with two NYC wood cabooses by MTH. As shown on the photos and videos, the O-36 loop runs over a truss bridge and through a narrow rock cut.

Happy FEF My Front Ends for Today

My Lionel Legacy A5 in Christmas Livery. A custom run, designed by METCA; is on the point of my Christmas train. I customized the caboose. My Lionel MPC GP9 in B&M livery on the point of my Giraffe train with a B&M porthole caboose # 9181. I don’t know if B&M ran porthole caboose’s; but Lionel made it so. Last but not least my friends Lionel Legacy SD90 NYC 9951, with a mixed freight including a Dole hopper. The set was a gift when he retired, and was part of the stimulus to start the Equestra Train Club.

It's FeF in the town of Paradise and Western Roads combined. Got 3 GS Series 4-8-4 all different. From left to right is Western Pacific GS-64 #485, Southern Pacific GS-2 #4412 in "General Service" black and GS-2 #4415 in "Golden State" Daylight colors. #4412 is new to me, I just received it yesterday and I posted a couple of photos of it in the "Buy Anything Cool Lately" thread, too.

I'll post the tail ends of these next Tuesday in "Tail End Tuesday" thread. WP 485 has a noticeably different tender than the SP versions.

The Holidays approach so I already have a poinsettia on the layout.

Happy Friday to you all and have a great weekend!!!

Here are a couple of clockwork beauties for you this Friday.  On the left is a HWN (Hahns Weimer, Nuremburg)  a 1950's 0-4-0 from Germany pulling her single coach passenger consist.   Sharing the spotlight is the Hornby (UK) Type 20.  This little clockwork 0-4-0 was the first of the Hornby line to be fitted with the "new" (post 1948) British Rail livery although Mecanno was well behind the power curve as it was 1954 before they changed over to the British Rail colors.  That year they introduced the Type 20 locomotive and the No 20 Goods Train Set as shown here.  The Type 20 and its sets were some of the last Hornby gauge 0 trains available new before production shut down in 1962.  Both of these lines represent the lower tier of the manufacturers offerings but due to still austere post war economies they were very popular with customers.

Best Wishes everyone, hope your weekend and upcoming Thanksgiving Holiday goes well.
