"HONGZ" stands for HO scale, N scale, G scale, and Z scale.

Post your non-O scale stuff here!

i've heard of the wada works gp9  and i think they did a turbine powered f unit and some gas powered zephyrs and they are super cool i had always had that idea of a g scale gas powered railway since i want to run it in snow and not worry about my electronic stuff like transformers getting wet.

is there anyone else that makes gas powered g scale diesels outside of wada works

and what would be the price for undecorated units

There is a guy selling them on ebay. They are not cheap. He takes a stock engine and installs the components. If you are undecided, consider both ways. I believe the post above might be your better choice.

The live diesels are a sight to see though. Every type of power has it's drawbacks. Look at the big picture and try to decide what you'd like overall. I prefer to run a lot of engines and bigger trains. Track power becomes more economical after a certain point. I don't have to stop to change batteries and equip every engine with extra stuff. But it is a big expense overall.

Battery power on a single engine running on aluminum rails could be done for much less money. You need to invest in something to control it.

can you give me a link to these converted trains?

I have to agree with Engineer-Joe on this on. I've seen videos of converted locomotives, and to be honest, the noise from the motor spinning the generator I found quite annoying. When the motors are on R/C airplanes they're up in the air, away from you. Many years ago I was into R/C & line control airplanes, so am familiar with them & the associated noise from the engines.  When they're placed in a locomotive, it turns it into a speaker box. If you don't mind the gawd awful noise, no problem. IF YOU DO, refer to engineer joes' suggestion.
