George D Stock was one the largest advocates for the new Ho gauge , promoting the new small gauge with his "Diminutive and Obstinate" RR regularly shown in MR from 1934 on. Stock was the first in America for offer HO engine kits at the end of 1935 with the PRR E6 ...following year introducing the PRR B6 switcher. Stock went on to become a custom builder of high end HO and O scale pieces ...and he was a master painter.
Below ads for Stocks E6 and switcher & photos , photo from the D&O , and photo of one of his O scale pieces built in 1950 . Stock had a hobby shop serving the Pittsburgh area till 1980 .
