GG1 4877 Back In Green

I agree with Rusty.  I have a single stripe tuscan red, Williams GG1 and a single stripe DLGE, Lionel JLC GG1 and I've always liked the DLGE color better.  I guess that's because I saw so many of those every day when I lived in Philadelphia.

I guess it should be DGLE, Dark Green Locomotive Enamel!

Now, why din't PRR repaint more G's into Tuscan, like the e-Units!  Passenger cars were not painted DGLE!

I am not familiar with the 4877 and do not know if the air intakes were ever moved. I am glad to see them in their as built locations.

What GG-1? is behind under the tarp?

Here's a pic of her I snapped in Boonton, NJ May 18 of last year.  They worked fast in getting her to look so nice.  And they have a lot more projects underway.

For my PRR modeling I have a cutoff date of late 1952 just because.

Thanks very much for these videos.  They bring back some terrific memories of growing up in Philadelphia.  GG-1's have always been my favorite locos.
