Nice!
Are the Globe F's in factory paint, or were they custom painted somewhere in their lives?
Andre
Hello all ..thank you for your kind words ....the Globe F units are factory paint ... Globe offered UP , SantaFe and unpainted gold ...... interesting thing I found was at the end of 1954 the powered Globe F was 14.95 ....by 1958 Atheran was selling a whole set ...F unit , 2 passenger cars , loop of track , transformer for the same price ....that's why they had to go to rubber bands to remain competitive ...
Cheers Carey
Athearn acquired Globe in 1952 and retained the brand name until 1956.
Athearn introduced their Hi-F (rubberband) drive F7 in 1957 along with the GP9 and Hustler.

I remember Globe, and think l had something with the (disliked here) rubberband drive...have had O scale AMT cars, but not before seen HO ones, to my knowledge, so interesting post.
Very cool, thanks for posting. Had a set when I was a kid.
