Wonder if the steam train crew was doing this on purpose every time the camera shifted to them!

Hot water can tell the story, but the short answer is.......yes.
The heck of it is; I would much rather, and I suspect most people there, would really rather hear the #844 "talk" rather than listen to the BS of all those celebrity commentators!
(Oh when, oh when, will we hear the wonderful sounds of that engine, once again??)
Paul Fischer
Perfect!
That is really very funny.

I was channel flipping when this happened and hit the channel just as the whistle sounded. (I would never watch MSNBC on purpose!) I had tears in my eyes from laughing so hard at these two twits. Matthews and Olbermann at their finest.
Yes, it was being done on purpose. Hot Water can elaborate. I think he was there.
Old News Feel the Bern OHH the Times They are achangin!!!!!
This is hilarious! Well done 844.
Nyuk, nyuk! Dufus news man suggests the "conductor" is blowing the whistle.
Someone from the crew was in the tool car watching on their satellite TV, and whenever either of those two bozos started to talk, they called on the radio to the crew in the cab the blow the whistle. Even the CEO of the UP was very complimentary toward the Steam Crew for their actions.
I was told that the crew was in their hotel with a radio watching the TV with one crewman with a radio in the cab on night watch.
Well that was funny, but rude and unprofessional. If anyone would have done that with one our company trucks, there would have definitely been a meeting with the company and union officials with those responsible.

Well, NBC should have checked out the site before placing it if front of a place where there would be trains. Diesel or steam!

Rude????? Both those two bozos on CNBC were RUDE, in my opinion!
That's funny, rude maybe, but those talking heads needed a wake up call :-)

Give me a break.

I agree...it was funny watching them slowly getting more and more irritated as it went on.
That made my day, those two are horrible people and truly deserved it. I will definitely try to keep that tread.
My sides hurt from laughing so much. Well done by the UP Steam crew.
