Wow, so sorry to hear Matt. Hopefully they may have captured the guy on some of the other security cameras. I shop there often as it's a great hobby shop. I hope they catch the person.

Incidents like this really stink - It's a lot of work, $$$ investment, and sweat to own and operate a hobby shop. I certainly hope they catch the scumbag and roast his a** 

Even if it had been your's, it isn't anymore. That is quite the score. Do you know what was taken? Obviously, someone knows to come up with a figure of $4K worth of loss.

TRK, I see that you live out in the lowly Southwest too. It's nice to know that I'm not alone out here on this end of town.

Well, I had put DCC and sound in about 20 locomotives and all of them are gone ranging from $200 to $450 and an Athearn Big Boy and Intermountain Cab Forward. Thats $950 there

Hi Jon, I'm originally from the east side of town but really like the west side. We visit your town quite a bit to go to Edels.

 

Really a shame about this robbery. I hope they catch the person.

Man...that sucks. I hope whoever did it is caught. Minnesota doesn't have much for LHS's and Hub is one of the good ones. Stuff like this isnt supposed to happen to stores like that.

Matt,

  Any external security cameras that got a picture of his car/license plate?

  Not sure if I am missing something or maybe this is some sort of mega-size hobby store...he walked in after the store opened, disabled the cameras that I assume are high up,  loaded up bags of stuff and nobody saw him?

   If you save your store's surveillance footage, you might want to go back a few days and see if you see anyone suspicious who is looking for where the cameras are...just my two cents!

Too bad! It looks like a nice store. Sad that the few remaining hobby stores which are hanging on have to deal with such nonsense. Thanks for posting the pictures.

That's bad news. Hope they catch the thief and the store had insurance. I'm sure that would be a big loss for a hobby shop to have to absorb.

I used to drive up to Hub a must visit while in town. I should I have dropped in while back visiting mom in July. She lives in Eden Prarie.

You know I always get a charge out of the Midwesterners use of Vanity plates on cars. Check this one out I snapped down by the old Raddison South.

.This kind of stuff makes me angry and sad at the same time!Thing people who do stuff like this.Will do it again and again and ether get to cocky or greedy.And will slip up leave a clue.Or will get caught by the police or owner of the shop.And go to prison for a while.Hope he gets caught!!
