I'm wondering if anyone can help me identify and locate a special O gauge model caboose.

The caboose has a slanted cupola and also a bay window. I have seen photos at times but can not locate the manufacturer. Don't know if it is Lionel, KLine, MTH, Williams, or others.

If you are familiar with the Burlington (CB&Q) caboose (waycar as they call it) that has the slanted cupola painted in silver, that is the style I am looking for. The models that I have seen once or twice, also has a bay window.

I would appreciate any information as to who made or makes this O Gauge model.

Thank you,

RAY

That's the NE12 waycar.

As Hot Water said, nobody's produced them in O, but as I recall Malcom (Brother Love) may have built some for customers.

The NE12's been available in brass in HO and of all people, Bachmann for some of their HO trainsets, painted in just about everything BUT Burlington.

Mantua/Tyco also made a similar freelance version in HO.

Jim P., that's the one I remember seeing. It is the one I was looking for but not in S scale, I was hoping that someone did it in O gauge. Oh well, guess I will have to try something else.

Rusty, yes, that is the one I was hoping to model or kitbash. The NE12 is a very nice looking waycar. I have a couple in HO and reworked several of the Bachamnn in HO as well. Guess I will just have to settle for the Sunset 3rd Rail NE7 for now.

Thanks guys for the info.
