This is something which people have been waiting for a long time: an accurate FL9 in HO scale that's not brass. Even better, this one comes with ESU sound featuring real sounds recorded from FL9's in operation and a Grand Central Mode, which simulates the sounds of running from the third rail (blowers and traction motors only). This first release is the earlier version of the engine with steam boiler (even has a mini pantograph, which some of the early FL9's had). Head end power versions will be released later. This FL9 project was risky, considering the many variations and modifications that would need to be modeled and the fact that only one railroad originally had these. However, like the GG1 (which only one railroad originally had) this engine is popular and these are selling like hotcakes!
