Post your non-O scale stuff here!

The Railroad Museum of Long Island (RMLI) is pleased to announce a VERY SPECIAL, “Silver Series” Bachmann HO scale commemorative car.  Production of this car will be limited to only 300 cars.  All funds raised from the sale of this car will go toward the restoration of  Long Island Rail Road steam locomotive #39.

In 2016 the Museum offered this car in O gauge from Lionel, it was a great success and it brought $10,000.00 into the dedicated restoration fund for LIRR Steam Locomotive #39.  We received many inquiries from collectors and operators of HO Scale trains asking if we could issue the car in their scale.  HERE IT IS!

Partnering with Bachmann Industries of Philadelphia, PA, the RMLI has ordered a limited run of only 300 of these highly collectible cars.  The cars feature sliding doors, metal wheels and Bachmann Magnetic EZ Mate couplers.

The boxcars are in production now and we anticipate their delivery later in 2017.  As only 300 cars are being produced it will be "first come first served!"  You may pre-order your car now by going to www.rmli.org and downloading an order form, (PayPal "purchase now" functions will be live within a few days of this announcement), shipping to your address and membership in our RMLI Collectible Car Club is included in your purchase price.

Thank you for considering this car for your collection.  Your purchase supports the Museum's effort to bring LIRR Engine 39 back into revenue service with our partners, the Strasburg Rail Road Company!  Read more about Engine 39 here:     http://www.rmli.org/RMLI/Engine_39.html
