Yes, you can, with the addition of any one of Lionel's TMCC or Legacy command bases and a cable.
Everything required to operate Legacy and TMCC engines form a DCS Remote and a whole lot more is all in MTH’s “The DCS O Gauge Companion 2nd Edition", available for purchase as an eBook or a printed book at MTH's web store!
Note that you'll be running Legacy locomotives in TMCC mode, you forgo any Legacy specific operating characteristics.
