Lima, as a computer science prof and programmer I notice those kinds of issues a lot.   We teach the idea and have students practice in our Human Computer Interface courses and hands-on.   It appears that once graduated, working students have to "get the product out quickly" and HCI issues become secondary, for when there is "free time" (which there never is).  

 

Oh Well, it's not all bad:  we notice the exception when the design is less than optimal, but when well designed, we don't notice it at all (as it should be).
