Yep, it ventured back east again today. This time I wanted to be farther back from the train and pan with it. What a nice surprise to see it a 2nd time in less then 1 week!! This was in Madison Ohio.

It's a great place to watch trains for me as it's only 25 minutes or so from our model railroad business. Their are other locations in Ohio that are actually better. Berea, Fostoria, Deshler, etc.

I was surprised to see TOFCs behind the helper engine. I thought it was all stacks in well cars for container transportation.
I saw the same train fly by me, going east, while on route 20 in Harborcreek , Pa. on Saturday. First time I saw the Rio Grande livery and wasn't sure what I saw......

Am I right to assume these trains run slower through Erie than where Tom sees them?
Mark, Trains do run a bit slower thru the city of Erie, but Harborcreek is a suburb, and they fly right alongside Wabco's (ex GE) test track in that area. The tracks are used by NS, CSX, & Amtrak. Rick
Thank you Rick! I didn’t know how far out of Erie it takes to get up to speed. Not very long!!
