Its a great set, and the railsounds are strong. The engine is identical to the postwar version, right down to the cab number but with TMCC and Railsounds :-)

I missed out on the Conventional Classics offering that duplicated the late 50's set led by the Virginian. And they are scarce these days. See them on the Bay occasionally but seller always wants crazy money.
The conventional classic version is a closer copy to the postwar version than the earlier railsound coal train version. The handrail in front is split like the original version, where as the railsound version has a full across front handrail. Also the lettering fonts are closer to the original, the earlier railsound version the lettering, like the 'G' in Virginian is too round, should be more 'squared' like the original lettering.
