I'm replacing the fried MDK-090 Rev. D from a K-Line by Lionel 2-11556 CSX SD70 MAC

On suggestion's of others on this forum, I'm replacing it with an ERR Cruise Command - M

I'm confused with some of the wiring and would like some help! Please!

Here is were I'm at; [J4 on CCM] I have found the Data IN from R2LC, (purple from J3-1 691-PCB1-0B9)

I'm unsure of the Blue wire from 691-PCB1-09F [GND] Should it go to J4-2 on CC-M [Data OUT (to sound system)]

There are 2 wires (YL, BL); They both come from J2-1(BL) & 2(YL) on the MDK-090 Rev. D and go to 691-PCB1-0B9

The Blue wire comes from J2-1 (MDK) and goes to J3-2 on 691-PCB1-0B9 > 691-PCB1-09F (BL) [GND]

The Yellow wire comes from J2-2 (MDK) and goes to J6-1 > J3-1 (PL) on 691-PCB-0B9 > 691-PCB1-09F (PL) [SERIAL]

Thanks

WOW!  I'm surprised No one here knows any thing about these boards.

Well anyway, I decided to put it all back together (minus the mystery wires)

Well that did Not work! In command environment, (18v) Train took off like a bat out of ****, In reverse!

If you know, Please Let me know what I did wrong!

Thanks!

ZAK.......Please hang on for a bit. There are several people here that will help but likely missed your original post. I have added cruise M's to two Kline TMCC Steamers with the same cruise board. The fried board you have is the same one I replaced on both. They do have a history of failure. I am unable to help tonight but will check in tomorrow. Be aware that wire color can be different on kline products from year to year.

Thanks Everyone!

There was a little urgency, I have a train show tomorrow. But I can wait until next month.

Richard, email sent!

Pat, I've attached some pics!

G, I did down load and print out the instructions! I tried to follow them the best I could, Must have missed something though

I double checked the Pwr. & motor leads against ERR instructions, Look fine to me (although the motor leads may need to be swapped out.

Verify your power, ground, & motor leads plugged into the Cruise M. Be sure they are in the correct slots on the black Molex connector. Some Kline’s reversed from factory. (Power & ground) ……Verify serial is being fed to the Cruise M. The instructions are crystal clear about that. …….Id unplug all the other stuff you’ve plugged into the Cruise M. As stated above, not everything from the Kline driver will be reused on the M. I’d get the locomotive running first like it’s supposed to be, then see what features you’re missing. ( lighting, etc. )
