Pondering buying a small tablet for my music interests and was wondering if a 6" tablet would offer good viewing for an OGR digital subscription? Does anybody currently use a 6" tablet to read OGR on line? If so how is the experience verses a larger screen? Any and all input would be appreciated.

Well I don't have any input on the 6 inch..... but my 9 inch is good! I bought a used Nook online for $75 years ago and I'm loving it! I like to watch YouTube videos on it, read OGR, and other activities. I didn't think I'd use it over my phone or laptop but it truly has found a niche that it's very useful in! Plus, if you use it to control the WiFi module on your MTH trains its just perfect!
I guess my suggestion is, try to find a 9 inch tablet. Three inches doesn't sound like much but when looking at a video or OGR online it makes a difference!
Not sure what size a standard ipad is (an earlier version, ipad 2 I think), but that's a little too small for me. I am in my 60's and I either have to expand the text or go get my reading glasses. I seldom read the digital versions though, I much prefer the print copies. If you are still young and/or have good eyes, you might be just fine with it on a smaller device?
I've read OGR on my Note 5 phone as well as 7" and 10" tablets. Obviously, the bigger the better, but it was okay on the 7" with some zooming and worked well enough for me on the Note 5 with more zooming and scrolling. Just FYI, I'm 69 and wear bifocals.
I can read it on my iPad, it has a 9 1/2" screen though. I have tried it on my iPhone 6s, but think the 6 1/2" screen is too small for the digital magazine, but okay for the OGR Forum. I still like reading the paper magazine best, even better than the PC screen, but it is handy when I'm not at home to use the iPad or iPhone in a jam. The Forum is just fine on my iPad. I'm 60 and wear tri-focals.
